A 19-year-old woman sustained a broken pelvis and other injuries when she was struck by a car in the Morena area not far from the University of San Diego campus Saturday, San Diego police said.
The woman was running across Linda Vista Road near Goshen Street between intersections when she ran into the path of a 2016 Toyota Prius, Officer Robert Heims said. The driver of the Prius was also 19 years old.
The pedestrian’s injuries are not considered life-threatening, Heims said.
Police do not expect alcohol or drugs played a role for the driver in the collision.
